Our
European tapestry products offer you a wide selection of woven tapestries,
wall hangings and cushion covers for a variety of home and office
décor settings. All are produced by weavers in France, Belgium
and Italy on Jacquard looms and then hand-finished.
Our
collection includes an immense range from 14" square to 12'
long. Many are reproductions of priceless works of art from museums
worldwide; reproducing such tapestries as The Lady and the Unicorn
series whilst others were originally paintings from artists such
as Raphael, Michelangelo, Van Gogh and Monet. Wall hangings are
lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. The cushion covers (pillows)
are finished with smart velvet backing and piping.
We
invite you to explore our gallery of tapestry wall hangings online.
It is divided into themed sections for your convenience.
The
late Victoria era saw fresh artistic vision through this

drawing upon medieval themes and weaving methods for inspiration.

A "bell pull"
was basically the Victorian's version of a doorbell. It
consisted of a round brass knob attached by wire through
the front doorjamb to a bell, which was situated in the
front hallway or entry. Pulling the knob rang the bell.
The concept of the bell pull was so appreciated by wealthy
Victorians, that inside the homes of the elite, bell pulls
could be found in most every room. A regal Victorian lady
simply needed to tug at an intricately decorated length
of embroidered fabric with a tassel at the bottom, and moments
later, tea would be brought by the servant.
Bell pulls are highly collectible today as detailed and ornamental
samples of an era of gracious living. They are well suited
to decorate and fill in small areas of wall space, which require
something elegant and different. View
